Kullu an important city and a famous valley is situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The Kulu Valley is situated near the river Beas and runs from north to south. The length of the kulu valley is about 80 kms long and the width of the valley is around 2 kms. It is a tourist’s paradise and is a hot spot for trekkers, the mountaineers and for everyone who would like to escape the oppressive heat. Some of the interesting places of visit in and around the city of Kullu include the Bijli Mahadev Shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Temple is situated about 10 kms from Kullu. The Raghunathji temple dedicated to god Raghnath, this temple is situated at a distance of 1 km from the city of kullu, the world famous vaishno devi temple, the camping sight raison which is situated at a distance of 16 kms from the city of kullu. The other places of interest include the katrain, the naggar, the kasol, the Manikaran, the Malana, the Bajaura, the Larji and the Banjar. The city of Kulu is also famous for its hand woven wollen garments, wollen shawls and the beautiful caps. Kulu is also world famous for its tasty and delicious apples which are exported all over the world.
